3D Modeller

Responsible To: Creative Manager

ROLE PURPOSE 

This is an exciting opportunity for a 3D Modellor to work for one of the UK’s leading giftware wholesalers. You'll be responsible for creating digital three-dimensional models from designs and artwork created by our in-house and licensed artists. Models will need to be highly detailed ready to be printed and moulded ready to be manufactured as resin figurines.

This role sits within the Creative and product development team whose goal is to drive business growth by developing and designing innovative and commercially focused products.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create digital three-dimensional models from detailed designs.
  • Reference lifelike or living models while creating object.
  • Refer to photographs or scenery for inspiration.
  • Ability to create models ready for 3D printing.
  • Work with artists and designers to create an accurate approved production ready model.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to degree level in 3D modelling or equivalent design-related course preferred but not essential. Must have a strong portfolio.
  • Advanced knowledge of ZBrush and Maya
  • Knowledge of 3D printing would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Constantly striving to stay ahead of technology with the ability to grasp new and exciting techniques.
  • You will work towards developing your own unique artistic style and developing your sculpture with an emphasis on technique and also creative expression
  • Need to have excellent computer based design software skills/knowledge in order to show the concept behind the design.
  • Taking responsibility for a project.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to interpret briefs creatively
  • Innovative ideas
  • High attention to detail.
  • Organised and motivated.
  • Knowledge and interest in fantasy art would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Hours: Monday- Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 14:00
  • Salary: Negotiable

Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Artist/Product Developer to work for one of the UK’s leading giftware wholesalers. You will be working within an in-house Creative team working on a variety of projects designing and developing products to enhance and expand the Nemesis Now product range.

This role sits within the Creative and product development team whose goal is to drive business growth by developing and designing innovative and commercially focused products.

Principle Accountabilities

  • The Junior Artist/Product Developer will work alongside the Creative Manager, Lead Artist/Product Developer and Purchasing Manager to design, develop and manage products throughout production.
  • As a Junior Artist/Product Developer you will be trained in all aspects of the role of Artist/Product Developer from concept design, final artwork creation, critiquing sculptures and product painting while learning the giftware market and industry.
  • Additionally, the Artist/Product Developer will encourage and maintain positive working relations with colleagues and suppliers, while meeting assignment requirements and deadlines. Successful performance in this position will result in a positive increase in the range of Nemesis Now branded product available for worldwide sales.
  • Utilise Free Choice Design days to create new product ideas.
  • Taking responsibility for multiple projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships and take responsibility in raising and maintaining the standards of Nemesis Now Ltd.
  • Generate ideas for products; keep up to date with trends within the industry. Identifying and developing ranges from current successful lines.
  • Support the Creative Manager in design and marketing tasks where required.
  • Embrace change and strive for excellence in everything that we do.
  • Communicate and Work together with the Nemesis Now team and Directors to deliver the business vision and mission.

Skills & Qualifications

Sculptor

We are looking to expand our team with the addition of a new role of Sculptor. The ideal candidate will relish the challenge and excitement of a high growth company and is capable of managing and contributing towards the future success of the business.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sculptor to work for one of the UK’s leading giftware wholesalers.  We provide a working environment dedicated towards helping our staff fulfil their potential. 

Role Purpose 

To align the business resources with the companies Vision, Mission statements and core values. You'll be responsible for designing and constructing three-dimensional art works using a variety of techniques to mold and create aesthetically pleasing three-dimensional objects Would need to create detailed sculptures from designs created by our in house artists that would be moulded and manufactured as resin figurines

Principle Accountabilities 

  • Model three-dimensional substances to create forms.
  • Use metalworking, welding, carving, whittling, chiseling, or shaping to construct artistic forms.
  • Utilize tools such as chisels, gouges, and mallets to create objects.
  • Reference lifelike or living models while creating object.
  • Refer to photographs or scenery for inspiration.
  • Incorporate sound, light and motion into the artwork
  • Use clay or wax to shape objects.
  • Cut, twist, laminate, secure, and fasten raw and manufactured materials.
  • Use finger or small hand tools to smooth out rough edges or carve details.
  • Cast substances in bronze or concrete.
  • Select materials for new projects.
