Reapers & Demons
The Grim Reaper or Death is perhaps one of the most recognised entities of all time. Neither ghost nor god, the grim reapers job is to take the souls of the recently deceased to the afterlife, and is often depicted as a skeletal figure shrouded in a long, dark, hooded cloak holding a scythe.
The origins of the Grim Reaper go back far into the past and he was known by many names. In old Celtic folklore he was known as L'Ankou, sometimes called Father Time. To the Greeks he was known as Cronus and the Romans called him Saturn. The Grim Reaper has, throughout history, served as a reminder that life is short and to make the best of every day.
